POWER | DOUBLE BILL PART I
Still going strong
Maikel Walker and Junior Bosila Banya (B-Boy Junior), two pioneers in the breakdance scene and both a true inspiration to many, including each other. Twenty-three years ago, B-Boy Junior Maikel saw him dancing; he discovered a reflection of himself, as both are differently-abled.
Admire Maikel Walker live on stage and B-Boy Junior in a powerful virtual way. Together in this performance, they share their life stories from childhood to the present.
At 55, Maikel Walker is still a role model for dancers in the hip-hop scene.

POWER | DOUBLE BILL PART II
I am my ancestors wildest dreams
Through the eyes of choreographer Sheree Lenting, you'll witness the wildest dreams of her foremothers. In the performance, she takes you into their as-yet-untold stories from the past, present, and future.
She questions, explores, and cherishes her female lineage. The dancers are the embodiment of the stories. Cicely Wijnaldum and Ciara Hiwat will take you on a journey through womanhood. With the POWER, wisdom, and love of their female ancestors as their legacy, they confidently face their future.
"Also Power 2 – I am my ancestors' wildest dreams by choreographer Sheree Lenting is a celebration of empowerment."
