LC Presents is treating you to the following performances:

OUR HOUSE DOOR WENNAH WILKERS

Our House is an impressive ode to Housedance, performed by an international cast of exceptional dancers. This dynamic dance style, known for its energetic footwork, cyphers, and sense of community, forms the core of the performance. An industrial, underground, and communal atmosphere is created, inviting the audience to participate in the sense of connection and the meditative state of Our House.

Wennah Wilkers (born 1992 in Tarlac City, Philippines) is a Dutch-Filipino dancer and choreographer who grew up in Amsterdam. She is known for her unique style, in which she effortlessly blends contemporary and urban dance.

CTRL+Z DOOR MIILA KAARINA

Ctrl+Z is a negotiation with shame, a constant struggle between the urge to maintain control and the body fighting for its own liberation. On a stage strewn with red buckets – symbols of fear, refuge, and chaos – shame takes on a physical form. Each bucket contains fragments of struggle and security, marking a carefully constructed yet fragile path in the search for order.

Venla Keskinen, also known as Miila Kaarina, is a dancer, creator, and teacher with a background in architecture from Aalto University in Helsinki. As a self-taught dancer, she found her foundation and community in voguing in 2014 and has since distinguished herself as a new way-voguer within the European ballroom scene. Miila, formerly a member of the Legendary House of Prodigy and the Kiki House of Angels, is known for the precision, style, grace, and elegance she brings to the dance floor.

Bastard is a raw, emotional journey through the complexities of masculinity, fatherhood, and absence. Through dance and physical theatre, the performance explores the impact of absent fathers on men as they get older. It confronts the emptiness left by this absence and the inherited memories that shape their identity.

Ibrah is a young choreographer with roots in Uganda. Together with three young dancers (Juan Jose Markes, Angel Felix, and Sirak Solomoon Areguy), he created the short performance titled "Create4: Until the Quiet Comes," about the experiences of a young man of colour. Ibrah is a very talented creator, not only in the field of dance, but also in the fields of image and film.

THE DANCE FILM DIEGO BY REDOUAN HERGELINK

Diego is a hybrid dance and animated film, approximately 7 minutes long, that weaves dark, psychological themes with surreal elements. In the film, we follow Diego, a man trapped in a downward spiral of depression and despair. To escape his feelings, he creates a fantasy world where he meets Lucy. Lucy, a dark, shadowy being with white eyes, initially seems to alleviate his worries. But appearances can be deceiving: Lucy doesn't have good intentions. What starts as a flight quickly turns into a dangerous addiction that pulls Diego further and further into the abyss.

Redouan Hergelink began his dance career as a 15-year-old b-boy and has since followed an impressive path. At the Albeda Dance College, he developed into a versatile dancer, with an all-around dance experience that brought him to the big stage. He shone in Ultimate Dance Battle (TV), Isabelle Beernaert's tour, So You Think You Can Dance (TV & tour), Sky the Musical, and Beauty and the Beast (tour), among others.
