Little, little bird (4+)

An adventurous hip-hop dance performance

Join two little brothers on an adventure as they go camping in Mum and Dad’s back garden on a warm summer’s day. The garden transforms into a vast forest where the brothers have all sorts of adventures. As evening falls, the brothers hear strange noises… when they go to see where the noises are coming from, they meet a rather odd new friend…

Immerse yourself in the rich fantasy world of these two lads, full of tricks, hip-hop and breakdancing, acrobatics and play. ‘Little, Little Bird’ is about a boy who wants to be a bird and receives support from an unexpected source. The show thus tells a story of friendship and believing in what you can be.

Performance period: February to October 2025 (and January 2026 in Berlin)

The Theaterkrant:

“That recognition (…) makes the children feel that they are welcome and that their presence is important to the ‘children’ on the play floor.”

The Volkskrant:

“The 23 handstands, hopping over four backs and the funky little train in the colourful garden – it’s all equally infectious.”

About the creator

‘Little, Little Bird’ is the brainchild of choreographer and dancer Giorgio Costa. He has previously worked with artists such as Broederliefde, Maan, Jandino and Glennis Grace. He was also artistic director of the MBO Albeda Dance College and was named Teacher of the Year in 2019.

In ‘Little, Little Bird’, Giorgio joins forces with his long-standing dance partners: Pom Arnold and Remses Rafaela. The trio began their dance careers together in the breakdance group Groove Kings, with whom they reached the finals of Holland’s Got Talent and Battle of the Year, amongst other competitions.

Pom Arnold has toured the world with Cirque du Soleil and has performed in productions by Alida Dors, Ish, and previous shows by Lloydscompany. Remses Rafaela has performed in shows by Isabelle Beernaert and BBOY van Maas, amongst others. He recently created the children’s show ‘Wijzer’.
