Body to Body: Doelenensemble X CREATE4 by Ibrah Silas Jackson
Enjoy fluid and explosive movements that depict the experiences of young men of colour, set to hypnotic, pulsating and thrilling classical music.
Expect an all-encompassing experience in which every note and every movement can be felt, and the body becomes just as much an instrument as the music itself.
Create4, a dance company led by Ibrah Silas Jackson, engages in a thrilling interaction with the modern-classical sounds of the DoelenEnsemble in ‘Body to Body’. Lloydscompany guides the company in creating an intense programme brimming with energy, rhythm and physical expression.
Come and experience it for yourself on Thursday 23 October at De Doelen!

About the creator
Ibrah Silas Jackson (2000) is a dancer, director and choreographer from Rotterdam with roots in Uganda. He is a dancer with the Ghetto Funk Collective. His creations are rooted in hip-hop culture, but he has also gained expertise in various movement disciplines such as modern, funky and African cultural styles. In 2021, he began choreographing theatre pieces. Jackson has also directed several short films and music videos.
Jackson also took part in ‘Back to the Lab’ at Breakin’ Convention, where he gave a preview of his new piece, The Hereditary. In this piece, two dancers from Create4 personify the toxic masculinity that we pass down from generation to generation. He performed this piece in 2024 at Breakin’ Convention in London and in 2025 at the MAASPodium and the Afrovibes Festival.
For the VIERxVIER project by Theater aan de Rijn, he collaborated with Create4 to create the piece Unravel Threads, which explores the effects of peer pressure on young people.
Create4
Choreographer, dancer and director Ibrah Silas Jackson (2000) has formed Create4 with other young Black dancers and creators: Juan Jose Markes, Angel Felix, Shaq Vrede, Melano Bruinhart, Oumar Jalloh and Sirak Solomoon Areguy. With support from Lloydscompany, Jackson and the dancers created their first short performance, Until the Quiet Comes, about the experiences of a young man of colour. Create4 recently became the first Dutch company to perform this piece during the Breakin’ Convention Netherlands Tour. This piece also saw him selected for Attitudes, the European co-creation project for hip-hop dance.
