Redouan Hergelink started as a b-boy at the age of 15 and then developed into all-round dance at the Albeda Dance College. Now he specializes in fusing different styles and then making them his own. He shone in the Ultimate Dance Battle (tv), Isabelle Beanart (tour), So You Think You Can Dance (tv & tour), Sky the musical and beauty and the beast (tour). He has also given workshops in European countries such as Germany and Asian countries such as China.

DIEGO Under the guidance of Lloydscompany, Redouan conducted research into making his own film. This resulted in 'Diego', a short hybrid dance and animation film that interweaves dark, psychological themes with surreal elements.

In the film we follow Diego, a man who is stuck in a downward spiral of depression and despair. To escape his feelings, he creates a fantasy world, where he meets Lucy. Lucy, a dark, shadowy creature with white eyes, seems to take away his worries at first. But appearances are deceptive: Lucy has no good intentions. What starts as an escape quickly turns into a dangerous addiction that drags Diego further and further into the abyss.

I almost wanted to let go of this path, I had lost my joy. Thanks to Lloydscompany, I got the chance to join the maker process. I feel I am welcome at Lloydscompany, allowed to fall into my process and remain respected in who I am. This gave me back my joy in dance. After all, my love for dance is in the freedom of creation and daring to face the question marks inside me.
