On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Lloydscompany will perform the show Unbreakable at the State Theatre in Pretoria, South Africa. The performance will be staged during a three-day state visit by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Maxima to South Africa (October 18-20, 2023) at the invitation of President Cyril Ramaphosa. As a token of appreciation for the hospitality offered, the King will host a cultural program for the group on October 19th: a performance of Unbreakable by Lloydscompany, the Soweto Skeleton Movers, and eight musicians from Hayp Music. Unbreakable is going on a Dutch tour from October 10th (premiere at the Oude Luxor, Rotterdam) to November 30th, 2023.

With pantsula on the streets of Soweto, they're making the lights come back on at home. STAATSBEZOEK KONINKLIJK PAAR AAN ZUID-AFRIKA

Naast een officiële welkomstceremonie door president Ramaphosa bij de Union Buildings in Pretoria zal het programma van het staatsbezoek onder andere bestaan uit een bezoek aan Blesbokspruit Wetland Reserve, het Apartheid Museum, de Innovation Village en het Freedom Park. Als blijk van waardering voor de geboden gastvrijheid, biedt de Koning een cultureel programma aan. In het Staatstheater in Pretoria wordt door Lloydscompany en Nederlandse musici van Hayp Music de voorstelling Unbreakable uitgevoerd, met Zuid-Afrikaanse dansers van de Soweto Skeleton Movers. Naast het Koninklijk paar zal ook de Zuid-Afrikaanse president Cyril Ramaphosa aanwezig zijn. Ook aanwezig tijdens het staatsbezoek zijn minister Dijkgraaf van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap, minister Adema van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit, minister Bruins Slot van Buitenlandse Zaken en minister Ollongren van Defensie.
