For our new performance DOPE (premiere fall 2026) in collaboration with Wat We Doen, Lloydscompany is looking for a hip-hop dancer (M).

DOPE – A LINE BETWEEN THE UNDERWORLD AND THE UPPER WORLD

The compelling theatre and dance performance DOPE shows how drugs connect all layers of our society like an invisible thread. Through dynamic (hip-hop) dance, monologues, and intimate conversations, a drug dealer, a parent, a customs officer, and a user tell the honest story about the role of drugs in their world. For some, that's a party, for others, it's literally the dumpster. Sometimes you're right in the middle of a drug deal. Slowly, you are confronted with the consequences of dreaming of quick money, the allure of social media, the failing poverty policies, and the feeling of many young people that they don't matter.

HIP-HOP DANCER (M) WANTED

For our cast of 2 dancers and 2 actors, we are still looking for 1 male dancer. We are looking for an energetic hip-hop dancer with a powerful stage presence who is preferably familiar with various styles: from stand-up dance to floorwork/break. Experience or affinity with gaming is a plus. A flexible attitude and willingness to try new things are appreciated.

PROFILE

Age preferably between 20 and 30 years old.

Speaks reasonable Dutch

Hip-hop dancer with experience in multiple dance styles, including stand-up hip-hop, breaking/floorwork, and krump.

Willingness to try new things

Minimum 3 years of professional dance experience, preferably in performances.

Available between May 2026 and December 2026 for rehearsals (a total of 5 weeks) and performances (approximately 40 times).
