<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>A line between the underworld and the upper world</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">You snort a line or watch your friend go down for it. You get to make thousands of dollars by picking up a package or turning a blind eye at the port where you work. Even if you eat blueberries, they are transported by the same routes the underworld uses. Like it or not: you are dealing with drugs.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">The penetrating theater and dance performance DOPE shows how drugs connect all layers of our society like an invisible line. With dynamic (hip-hop) dance, monologues and intimate conversations, an outcast, a parent, a customs officer and a user tell the honest story about the role of drugs in their world. For some that is a party, for others literally the container. So sometimes you find yourself in the middle of a drug deal. Slowly you are confronted with the consequences of dreams of quick money, the temptation of social media, failing poverty policies and many young people's sense of not mattering.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>For DOPE, thanks to the FORT-PORT program, WHAT WE DOEN researched the dilemmas in the fight against drugs in the Netherlands. With the results from that, WAT WE DOEN and Lloydscompany are together creating DOPE.</em></p>
