Not only the children, but also dancers Giorgio Costa, Pom Arnold, and Remses Rafaela got the adults dancing at the premiere of Klein, klein vogeltje. The audience at Theatre Zuidplein in Rotterdam went wild when the trio performed the hip-hop, theatre, and dance show for the first time.

The morning gymnastics, the acrobatic tricks, and the lamps in the night scenes caused a lot of excitement among the young audience. They participated enthusiastically and wondered out loud how this could be. After the performance, several children tried to imitate the dance steps of the main characters.

"This recognition (...) makes the children feel that they are allowed to be there and that their presence is important to the 'children' on the playground," according to the Theaterkrant.

"The 23 handstands, jumping over four backs, and the funky train in the colourful garden, it's all equally infectious," writes De Volkskrant.

ON A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY

In the performance "Klein, klein vogeltje," we follow the adventure of two brothers who are allowed to camp in their parents' backyard on a warm summer day. The audience enters the rich fantasy world of the two boys: the garden transforms into a vast forest where the brothers go on a journey of discovery and experience all sorts of adventures.

As soon as evening falls, the brothers hear strange noises... When they go to see where the sounds are coming from, they meet a somewhat strange new friend...

"Little, little bird" is an idea by choreographer and dancer Giorgio Costa. Giorgio is creating this performance in collaboration with the performers, under the banner of Lloydscompany.
